Warm the Children

The Warm the Children program provides warm coats for children under the age of 18.  The program runs from October through December and is supported by Old Saybrook Rotary for the towns of Westbrook, Old Saybook and Old Lyme.  If you are a Westbrook family in need of extra support this year, please contact Jacqueline at WYFS for a referral to the program.

Holiday Wish List

Westbrook families who meet the eligibility requirements of residency and financial need may wish to participate in our Holiday Wish List program. Participating families complete a wish list for each child (age 19 or below). Families are then anonymously matched with a "secret elf" who purchases holiday gifts from the list. For more information and to get an application, please stop by the agency during business hours. 

Application deadline: No later than November 30

Pick up times:  December 17 and 18

Thanksgiving Basket

We at Westbrook Youth and Family Services are thankful for all the community members who support WYFS's annual Thanksgiving Basket program, which provides a complete turkey-day feast to Westbrook families in need of assistance.

Please contact us if you would like to donate to the Thanksgiving Basket program or are in need of assistance during the holidays.  Application Deadline:  November 1

Westbrook Youth and Family is proud to run donation programs that help those in need during the holiday season. Last year, with your generous support, we helped over 40 families during Thanksgiving and over 100 families for Christmas. These programs have many positive effects on community spirit as those both giving and receiving can share and support their friends and neighbors. 

WYFS would like to thank the many generous families, businesses and local organizations who donated money, food and gifts and made this program possible.  We wish to particularly thank Clinton Nurseries for donations for both Thanksgiving and Holiday Giving over the last several years!
