Holiday Giving

Holiday Wish List

  • Applications are accepted October 15 through December 1 (Please note that we cannot approve applications duringThanksgiving week November 20-24)
  • Westbrook families who can demonstrate residency and financial need (or are referred by the school social worker or the Town Social Services Director)

Westbrook families who meet the eligibility requirements of residency and financial need may choose to participate in our Holiday Wish List program. Participating families complete a Wish List for each child (aged 16 and under). Families are then anonymously matched with a “secret elf” who purchases holiday gifts from the list.

For more information or to pick up an application, please stop by the agency after October 15. Due to the popularity of this program, families should expect a brief review of eligibility with WYFS staff in order to participate.

Westbrook Troopers Toy Drive

After December 1, families can still receive holiday gift support from the results of the Westbrook Troopers Toy Drive. In the week following the Toy Drive, families can stop by the agency and pick out a toy for each child from the generous donations of community members. Check this location for dates.
